Welcome To Freyler's Driving School
We have two class sites. Classes are held at
Pembroke Academy for students of Pembroke Academy and in Henniker, NH, which is 18 minutes from downtown Concord.
All driver education courses are complete courses and consist of 30 hours of classroom instruction, 10 hours of individual driving instruction, and 6 hours of observation
time while in the driver education vehicle. In addition, the State of New Hampshire requires 40 hours of logged time on the family vehicle. Ten hours of the logged time needs to include night time driving.
Classes at Pembroke Academy are normally held on
Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday afternoons during the school year, from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m. Driving instruction is given after class times and also on Thursday, and Friday after school and on Saturdays.
A complete driver education course at Pembroke Academy will usually conclude in five to six weeks. The total cost is $500 with a deposit of $250 to enroll in the course, and a second payment of $250 at the date of the first class.
At the Henniker site, classes are normally held on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday afternoons from 4 to 6 p.m. All courses contain the same content as required by the State of New Hampshire, and listed above.
The Henniker site completes all driver education courses in 5 weeks at a total cost of $500. A deposit of $250 is required at the time on enrollment, and a second payment of $250 is due on the third Monday of the course.
As in the Pembroke courses, the driving instruction is given in downtown Concord to expose students to “city” driving. When a student takes driver education in a more rural environment they frequently lack the experience to handle pedestrians in crosswalks, left turns into multiple lanes where the driver is expected to start from the lane closest to the turn, and end in the lane nearest to the turn. (Left turn in left lane, or right turn into right lane.)
Each classroom session and each driving lesson have been well thought out from more than 30 years of teaching experience. At Freyler’s Driving School we are constantly going to workshops and seminars to keep informed of the best practices in driver education.

Our mission at Freyler's Driving School is to offer complete driver education courses to New Hampshire students. The program emphasizes coordinated classroom and driving lessons designed to start from the simple to the more complex. The driver education program also emphasizes visual search skills by classroom introduction, then practical application in the driving lessons, combined with risk reduction. Perhaps most important of all, Freyler's Driving School emphasizes the need for parental involvement with planned practice routines on the family car.
